Leaving the Red City of Marrakech, the adventure starts as we cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, driving through lush valleys, traditional Berber villages, and dramatic landscapes dominated by snow-capped peaks during winter. The highlight of the morning is crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco.

Descending the Atlas, we stop to visit the impressive Kasbah of Telouet, once the residence of the powerful El Glaoui family, offering a fascinating insight into Morocco’s feudal past. Shortly after, we reach the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Ksar, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its adobe architecture and historic role in ancient trans-Saharan caravan routes.

A short detour brings us to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River, with towering rock walls reaching up to 200 meters high—a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

We then head south through pre-Saharan landscapes filled with kasbahs, oases, and farmland, arriving at Rissani, an authentic desert town famous for its traditional medina, lively souk, and historic donkey parking area.

In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, you will switch from vehicle to camel, embarking on a magical camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes.
